Zachary Reynolds Obituary

Zachary Hunter Reynolds, 24, passed away on December 29, 2021 at his home in Wiggins. He was born December 06, 1997 in Danville, KY, the oldest of two children to Rodney Reynolds and Andrea Collette (Powell) Reynolds. Zach grew up in the small, rural town of Crab Orchard and was an athletic young man. He played basketball, baseball and football, and when he didn’t have a ball in his hands, he usually had a fishing pole. He also enjoyed squirrel hunting and video games as well. Zach trusted Christ as his savior at a young age as well, and enjoyed reading and studying his Bible. He worked a bit on a family friend’s tobacco farm, which was not easy thing. Zach attended school in Crab Orchard and Lincoln County High, collecting trophies in the sports he played through the years. In high school, Zach focused on football and played his freshman and sophomore years before completing his diploma through home school, moving to Stone County in 2014. After graduation, Zach helped his mother take care of the family property in Wiggins. Remembered as a loving son who always helped his mother and sister. No matter what, he could figure it out. A clean cut, straight as an arrow kid, Zach was loved by anyone who knew him. His knowledge of the Bible was amazing, and he enjoyed learning as much as he could. Zach loved to cook as well and practiced quite often. His plans were to attend culinary school to become a chef. He was an animal lover as well and took care of his dogs. Zach leaves far too soon and will be forever missed by his loving family. He was preceded by his paternal grandparents, Bunny and Judy Reynolds, and great-grandmother Mamie Reynolds, and his maternal grandfather Willie Powell. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving mother, Andrea Reynolds and his only sister, Alexandria Reynolds, both of Wiggins; his father and stepmother, Rodney (Delena) Reynolds Willisburg, KY; and his maternal grandmother Dallas Powell of LA. He leaves several extended family members, including close cousins, Devin Reynolds and Austin Ramsey, and his four-pawed kids, Squirt and Butterball. Zach’s final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. A celebration of his life is being planned for a later date.
