Wilton Ralph Ladner, 88 of the Lizana community, passed away at his home Wednesday afternoon. He was born July 28, 1931 in Gulfport, the third of four children to George & Cora (Cuevas) Ladner. He grew up in the Lizana community and was an outdoor-loving young man from the start. Known by "T-Boy" to most everyone who truly knew him, he loved to hunt and fish. After graduating high school, he went to work at Colonial Bakery in Gulfport, and spent 37 years there before retiring in 1992. T-Boy was the "owl" of the neighborhood, keeping a watchful and protective eye over his family and others. He was the "rock" of the family, and loved getting together for cookouts, gatherings, fishing and spoiling his grandkids every chance he could. T-Boy will be fondly remembered, and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his parents, George & Cora Ladner, and his oldest brother, George, Jr. Left to cherish his memories are: his only daughter, Regina (Travis) Cuevas; grandchildren: Joseph (Laura) Cuevas, Theresa (Matt) Crawford, Shelly (Desmond) Pavolini, Tasha (Max) Cuevas, and Monica (Yancy) Phillips; great-grands Sarah Marie, Konner, Caden, Lilly, Chloee, Brody, and Kaitlyn; his sisters Luzenia Cuevas and Voetress Ladner Breacel, along with numerous extended family, friends, and neighbors. The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, August 19th at 10:00 AM at Trinity Funeral Services' McHenry location. A chapel service will begin at noon, with interment to follow at Wolf River Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help offset funeral expenses. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Ladner family in their time of need, and asks everyone to please keep Regina and the family in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
