William P. Armbrust (Wild Bill), 79, of Saucier, MS, passed away at 3:55 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at his home. He was born on August 1, 1942 in Ohio, the son of Arthur A. and Wanda (Wendt) Armbrust. Bill joined the Navy in 1960 and became a Machinist Mate, serving aboard submarines. He advanced through the years to the rank of Master Chief (E9), honorably serving for 21 years. After retiring from the Navy, Bill started his own company Industrial Resources Incorporate (IRI). He successfully applied the knowledge he learned in the miliary to training materials, videos and lectures for Nuclear, Coal, Hydro, and other power plant operating procedures. Bill was previously married to Lou York of Danville, IL. He has been married Marie A. (Jodoin) Armbrust from Norwich, CT for over 40 years. Bill was a motorcycle enthusiast and leader of several motorcycle clubs. His life reflected the motto, ‘Live Free or Die’. He enjoyed many activities including boating, watching stock car racing and was an avid reader. His care of his wife Marie is an example of the strong man and husband he was to many others. He will be missed greatly by friends and family alike. He was preceded by his parents, his sister, Jeroldyne Armbrust Ritenour, an aunt, Velma Wordeman, and his grandson, David B. Cook. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife, Marie; his daughters: Katherine (Bryant) Hansen of Hanover, PA, Jeanette (David) Cook of Topeka, KS, and Arlene Malone (Jason Diamond) of Saucier, MS; sister-in-law Judy Jodoin and Carol Carroll of CT, and a brother-in-law, William Jodoin of Texas. Bill leaves a legacy of five grandchildren: Kassandra Weishaar, Rachel (Jacob Morrow) Woodson , Brandi Davidson, Tyler (Rebecca) Hubble, and Britney Hubble; with eight great-grandchildren: Hudson, Ella, and Grayson Davidson, Ryan Marsh, Connor Woodson, Jaelynn Morrow, Lincoln and Sawyer Hubble, his niece Rebecca Longnaker, and a nephew Chuck Ritenour, along with numerous extended family members, friends, shipmates, and business associated through the years. Bill's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. As a US Navy retiree, Bill will be laid to rest with full military honors, Thursday morning, April 21st at 10:00 AM, in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
