Whitney Denise Cockrell

Whitney Denise Cockrell, 23 of Wiggins passed April 3, 2021. She was born in Hattiesburg on July 7, 1997. Whitney is preceded in death by her grandparents, Bonnie and Bill Jackson and Linda Cockrell. She is survived by her precious daughter, Izabella; her mother, Susan Cockrell; her father and bonus mom, Brent and Chris Cockrell; her siblings, Taylor Cockrell, Kyle Taylor, Donnie Taylor, Jessica Cockrell and Madison Cockrell; her grandparents, Malcolm and Beverly Cockrell; her nephews, Brailyn, Gabriel, Noah, Owen and Aiden along with numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Whitney had a free spirit. She never met a stranger and had a smile that could melt the coldest of hearts. She was the type of person that either you liked her, or you loved her. Whitney enjoyed music and joking around but above all spending time with her daughter. While her time here was short, she made a huge impact on many lives. Fly High, Whitney, Fly High.  A Celebration will take place on July 7th in honor of Whitney’s birthday. Details will be shared at a later date.
