In his formative years, Warren walked the halls of Pass Christian High School with vigor and pursuit of excellence. After graduation, he furthered his education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, a time cut short by the pull of patriotism that led him to the United States Marines. In this esteemed institution, he not only served his country with distinction, earning a medal of conduct, but also shaped the fibers of his indomitable character. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, Warren returned to a civilian life that saw him engaging with the elemental forces of nature through his offshore and construction vocations. In matters of work and play, Warren was an unsurpassed force. In the lustrous greens of Florida, he joyously spent time working with alligators, a testament to his love for wildlife. His passion for hunting and fishing knew no bounds; he reveled in the serenity of nature and the thrill of the catch. An avid sports enthusiast, Warren bled the colors of the New Orleans Saints and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. These games, reflecting the pulse of his community and his affection for camaraderie, were not just pastimes but representations of his deep-rooted Southern pride. Warren's laughter was contagious, his sense of humor legendary. Stories, jokes, and outpourings of love were his currencies, and he invested them well, making friends with effortless ease. Cajun music danced through his life, a rhythm that propelled his kindness and his joyous spirit. In quieter moments, he traveled the globe vicariously through the lens of the silver screen, exploring distant lands, reveling in animal documentaries, and basking in the nostalgia of westerns and classic movies. A life well-lived is a mosaic of moments, and Warren crafted his with the deft hands of a man who recognized the beauty of life's ebb and flow. His legacy is etched in the lives he touched with his kindness and the nature he so lovingly tended. Warren Edward Moran lived fully, laughed heartily, and loved unconditionally. His passing leaves a void, but also a luminous tapestry of memories for all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is preceded by his parents, Vincent and Ilanth Moran; his brothers, Vincent Jr., Lionel, Dale, and Michael Moran; and his cherished daughter, Amanda Moran. He is survived by his beloved brother Timothy Moran and his wife Ella, who continue the legacy of the Moran family's warmth and hospitality.
