Warren Joseph Coats, "Junior" passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021. He was born on July 5, 1941 in New Orleans and later a resident of Metairie, Louisiana, At the very young age of 33 years, he became owner and operator of his family business, Coats Safe and Lock Company which was started by his Grandfather in 1888 and in later years, bought a Bud's Broiler franchise. Warren graduated from De La Salle High School and attended The University of New Orleans. He is survived by his wife of 57 years and companion of 75 years, Charlotte Clark Coats. He was a loving inspiration to his two daughters, Cecily Coats and Courtney Coats Topini and her spouse Maurizio. Pam Paw, as he was known, was adored by his two grandsons, Luca and Alessandro. There was nothing Warren could not fix or a person he did not offer to help. If the "Pearly Gates" have locks on them, St. Peter has a legendary, masterful locksmith for their maintenance. He was a happy soul who found pleasure in all things. His love of golf brought him much enjoyment and through the years he taught many the joy and excitement of the game. He will be missed enormously by all who knew his always smiling, happy face. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist the Coats family during this difficult time. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
