Thoefield Joseph Cuevas, age72, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 12, 2023. He was born in Gulfport, MS on February 08, 1951 to the late Thoefield Cuevas Sr. and Hilda Hoda Cuevas. TJ, known for his unwavering determination and strong will, was a sought-after Brick Layer whose skills were unparalleled. Known for his unyielding determination, TJ's reputation as a Brick Layer was not just a profession but a testament to his commitment and craftsmanship that set him apart. He was a man as tough as nails, TJ was also a pillar of generosity and compassion. His love for family knew no bounds, and he would go to great lengths to ensure their happiness and well-being. Weekends were sacred for TJ, a time he cherished to connect with his loved ones, as well as extended loved ones, forging bonds that would withstand the test of time. His sense of humor was infectious, and his quick wit could light up any room. He was notorious for playing pranks, keeping the atmosphere fun and light. TJ’s adventurous spirit and creative imagination transformed holidays into enchanting experiences, leaving an enduring mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to celebrate with him. Beyond his professional achievements, TJ was a man of integrity and principle. He went above and beyond to help others, even if it meant putting himself in a challenging position. His compassion extended to animals, reflecting a deep respect for all living things. TJ Cuevas leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and laughter. He will be profoundly missed by his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Welcoming TJ into Heaven is his loving parents, Thoefield Cuevas,Sr. and Hilda Cuevas; first wife, Sherry Cuevas; second wife, Johnnie “Lorette’ Cuevas; one brother, Kermit Cuevas, and two infant children siblings. Left to cherish his memories are his loving children, Crystal (William) Burke, Amber (James) Ladner, Thoefield “Bo” Cuevas III, Brandon (Merissha) Cuevas, Ginger (Brian) White, and Heath (Kristen) Cuevas; brother, Jackie Cuevas; sisters, Loretta Helton, and Janelle (George) Dangler; grandchildren, William “Billy” (Celia), Ariel, Meghan, Sherry, James “Bubba’ (Savannah), Rachelle, Londan, Lesleigh, Keirston, Kelsey, Jonathan “Sonny”, Brian Jr., Kensley, Tanson, Brendon, Joseph, and Cheyenne; great-grandchildren, Korbyn, Kyler, Brooke, Braylee, Bryson, Bria, Jayda, Braxton, Jaelynn, Amara, and Laken. Also left to cherish his memories are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
