Taylor Hope Obituary

Taylor Michelle Hope, 24 of Saucier, passed away at her home Sunday, July 4, 2021. She was the baby of two girls, born June 10, 1997 in Columbus, MS to Tina Ann Richardson and Paul Allen Sumrall. Taylor grew up in Gulfport where she loved the outdoors. Taylor was an active, outgoing young lady from the start. Hanging out with her friends and family, going to the beach or river were among her favorite things to do, when she wasn't playing softball, volleyball or cheerleading that is. Taylor graduated from high school as a home-schooled student in 2015, continuing on to MS Gulf Coast Community College where she graduated in 2018 with an Associates Degree in business. Her first job was waitressing at Shaw's Fish House and with her personality, Taylor fit right in. From there she waitressed at Catfish Charlies, Half Shell Oyster House and Outback Steakhouse. She was a sweet, personable young lady that was always eager to help. Taylor loved to travel and lived her life to the fullest. Though she leaves this world far too soon, she will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded by her maternal grandfather, Lelon Richardson, Jr., and grandmother Mary Crews; her paternal grandfather, Paul and step-grandmother Judy Sumrall, and her grandmother Dorothy Sumrall. Left to cherish her memories are: her mother, Tina Hope of Saucier; her father Allen Sumrall; one sister, Jennifer Baswell and nieces Holly Guy, Miranda Guy and Zoey Baswell, all of Columbus, MS, with her bonus parents, Donald and Mimi Davenport of Saucier; her fiance' Gage Necaise and untold numbers of extended family, friends and customers served through the years. Taylor's wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Trinity Funeral Services' McHenry location. A chapel service will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by a time of remembering and reflecting. A balloon and luminary release has also been set for later that evening in Long Beach in her honor, on the beachfront at Jeff Davis Ave. & US Hwy 90. In lieu of floral arrangements, please consider making a donation to offset funeral expenses for the family. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Hope family in this time of need, asking everyone to keep Tina and the entire family in your thoughts and prayer through this difficult time.
