Taylor Barrett Obituary

Taylor Rynae Barrett, 26 of Sumrall, passed away Sunday morning, October 17th at Forrest General Hospital. She was one of five children, born March 30, 1995 in Houston, TX to the late James Patrick Barrett and Veronica Rynae Gates. Taylor grew up in Texas for the first six years before moving to Purvis. She loved music and spending time with family. Taylor enjoyed riding horses as well as doing crafts and painting. She attended Purvis schools, graduating with the Class of 2014. She was definitely a people person and working at McDonalds, Wards and Freds gave her the opportunity to interact with lots of people. Taylor was a sweet and outgoing young lady that loved everybody, but she also had a little temper that more than matched her red hair. If you were ever on the receiving end, knowing that she loved yellow roses and dolphins could certainly help. But in all seriousness, Taylor was the type that would literally go out of her way to help, if she knew you were in need. Her kind, loving nature will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all whose life she touched. She was preceded by her father, James Patrick Barrett; paternal grandparents Jim Barrett and Betty Sue Barrett; maternal grandfather Henry Lloyd Gates; her great-grandmother Marie Barrett and her uncle, Olen Housley. Left to cherish her memories are: her only daughter, Evelyn Mae Barrett of Purvis; her loving mother, Veronica Gates (Micheal Busha), also of Purvis; siblings Erica and Dylan Housley, both  of Hattiesburg, Jonathan (Sarah) Housley of Wiggins and Katlyn Barrett of Lumberton, and her grandparents, Jerry and Georgia Johnson of Rye, TX. Taylor also leaves numerous extended family, friends and scores of customers she's served over the years. Her final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. A memorial service may be held at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Barrett family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
