Tanya Annette Crawford Johnson, 49 of Saucier, gained her angel wings Thursday morning, April 29th, surrounded by her family at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born July 9, 1971 in Gulfport. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, LC and Etta Varnado and Eddy and Lerabelle Crawford; her brother, Larry “Pee-Wee” Young and her daughter, Ashley Bond. Tanya leaves behind to cherish her memory, her father, Edward “Butch” Crawford; her mother and step-father, Mary-Liz and Russell Moran; her husband, Ronnie Johnson; her son and daughter in law, Dustin and Ashley Crawford; her bonus daughters and sons in law, Kayla and James Rector and Courtney and Daniel Villarreal; her grandchildren, Kinsley, Addison, Danny, Noah, Maria and Josh; her brother and sister in law, Kenneth “Pee-Nut” and Amanda Young; her aunts whom she loved very much, Gladys “May-May” Lee, Kay Hollis and Ethel Ladner; her caregiver, Rob Smith along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Tanya had many titles; daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, friend but the most important one to her was the title “Nanny” She simply adored her grandbabies. Tanya loved her cats and shopping for things old and new. She will be remembered for being a loving and giving person with a heart of gold. Tanya was a Christian woman and through her battle with cancer she always said, “GODS GOT ME!!!” Tanya fought a long, hard battle but she always kept her faith. Tanya was loved beyond words and will forever remembered. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 5th at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry beginning at 10 am. Funeral ceremony with Bro. Carl Dickens will be at noon with interment following at Dye Cemetery.
