Tammy Clifford Obituary

Tammy Lynn Clifford took her last breath at Memorial Hospital, in Gulfport, on June 8, 2023, the same hospital she took her first breath on February 6, 1960. She spent her early years in Biloxi, living in the Bay Vista Subdivision, being one of the first families to move in, the “Pioneers” if you will. Growing up along with three siblings and many neighboring children, making more memories than one could count. As children they were your typical, “don’t come home till the streetlights come on” type; spending every waking moment outside, riding bikes, or whatever shenanigans they could get into. Tammy and her siblings shared the same initials and were known in the neighborhood as the “4 TLCs”. This very subdivision she grew up in is the one she spent her last days in, enjoying the moments with her sister, as life came full circle. Once Tammy decided to go out on her own as an adult, she built her "peaceful paradise" in Saucier, MS, on Twin Lakes. This serene haven was where she spent most of her time, enjoying the tranquility it offered. The lake reminded her of the cherished moments spent with her Clifford grandparents at their home on Old Hickory Lake in Mt. Juliet, TN. Tammy's love for her family and friends was evident. She worked as a route salesperson for various companies before settling down with AutoZone as a delivery driver for seventeen years, where she was known for her dedication and hard work. Tammy's love for life extended to her hobbies, which included fishing, watching her treasured New Orleans Saints, and indulging in her favorite dish, spaghetti or sitting back with an ice-cold beer. She was a woman who knew how to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Known for her quick wit and sassy attitude, Tammy was a true prankster and jokester, always ready to share a laugh with those around her. Her sense of humor was contagious, and she had a knack for making even the most mundane situations hilarious. She was never one to take “crap” from anyone, and her feisty attitude was a force to be reckoned with. Her love for animals was unparalleled, and her pets meant the world to her. After many years of companionship, she recently lost her beloved dog, Jackie. In the last four years, she took care of a feral cat named Sweetie at work, eventually gaining the cat's trust, and bringing her home to live with her. Tammy Lynn Clifford's life was a testament to the power of laughter, love, and living life on one's own terms. She was a woman who embraced every moment, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Now, Tammy is at peace in heaven with her parents and Jesus, where she is undoubtedly cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy James Clifford and Betty Louise Smuda Clifford. She is survived by her brother and beloved sister-in-law, Tommy and Paula Lynn Clifford; sister, Terry Clifford; brother, Todd Clifford; nephews, Tommy (Chelsea) Clifford, Andrew Clifford, and Corey (Theresa) Clifford; nieces, Leah Cantrelle, Emily Cantrelle, and Kourtney Clifford; aunts, Marguerite Gill and Jo Smuda; uncle, Bill Smuda; along with neighbor and friend, Birgid Kirby. The family will be holding a private Memorial service at a late date.
