Sandra Bean Obituary

Sandra Lynn Bean, 56, of Picayune, MS, passed away peacefully in the arms of her husband on November 3, 2021 at her home. She was born the oldest of two girls, to James and Geraldine (Ryals) Alligood, July 25, 1965 in Picayune, MS. Sandy grew up in Picayune and graduated from Poplarville High School, class of 1982. Sandy spent most of her life working as a waitress for Betty K's there in Picayune. Sandy had a huge heart, especially for the cute little piggy she released the night she and her husband, Jeff, met at a fundraiser for a mutual friend where the pig was the prize!! Since that night she and Jeff were inseparable, spending their time on the river, at their house boat, or at Flint Creek, where they spent their honeymoon. Sandy loved being outside, whether it was in her garden, planting flowers, mowing grass, or watching her hummingbird feeders, she could always be found enjoying the great outdoors. One of her favorite places to sit with Jeff, her family, or her friends, was her porch. A place everyone knew they could come and just relax and share good company. Besides being outside, Sandy loved being in her kitchen, whipping up a good ole pot of chicken and dumplings, everyone is sure to miss! Thanksgiving will never be the same without Sandy and her fine dressing or delicious dumplings. She loved her family, especially the ones who called her maw-maw! Taking on Branson eight years ago, Sandy became a momma to a sweet little boy whose love touched every piece of her heart. Leaving him behind is by far the hardest thing she had to do, and missing those morning snuggles when he would sneak into her bed will never be the same. This world lost a precious soul to cancer but boy did Heaven gain a beautiful angel when she arrived. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents James and Geraldine (Ryals) Alligood. Left to cherish her cooking and front porch sitting, her loving husband of eight years, Jeff Bean of Picayune, MS; her children Ken (Daniella) Fore, Krystal Herrin, Cherrie (Robbie) Penton, and Branson Bean all of Picayune, MS; her sister Donna (Jeff) Opel of Picayune, MS; and her two BFF's Stacey Chambers and Jenny Miller also of Picayune, MS. Sandy's wishes were to be cremated which her family is honoring, and a memorial service will be held at a later time provided by the family. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bean family during this time and would ask that you would lift Jeff and the rest of her family in prayer in the days to come.
