Sammy Ray Benefield Sr.

Sammy Ray Benefield Sr., 64, passed away March 11, 2023, in Biloxi, MS. Born November 20, 1958, in Gulfport, MS to Delores Steiner. Sammy was a hardworking man, hanging sheetrock for over forty years. He truly loved his job so much, he ended up started his own business, Quality Drywall. Sammy enjoyed the simple pleasures in life; hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and working on cars. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family. Sammy was the type of guy that would do anything to provide for his family, give you the shirt off his back even. No matter who you were, he would lend a helping hand. He will be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Delores Steiner; father, Steven Steiner; wife, Gretchen Benefield; children, Jason Rogers, Sammy Benefield Jr., and Tiffany Benefield; seven grandbabies, Copper Rogers, Haley Christian, Cole Rogers, Justice Benefield, Phoenix Benefield, Mileena Benefield, and Xander Benefield. Sammy is preceded by his dad, Charles Casper Benefield and his brother Charles David Benefield. A visitation will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00pm. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Benefield family in their time of need and asks everyone to remember them through this very trying time.
