Ronald Joseph Garcia, 83, passed away on October 30, 2021 at his residence in Gulfport, MS. Ronald was born on September 16, 1938 in Bay St. Louis, MS to the late Harry Franklin and Blanche Johnston Garcia. Ronald grew up on the Gulf coast of Mississippi as the youngest of eight children. He attended St. Stanislaus High then joined the United States Navy. After his time in the service Ronald would become self employed as a General Contractor. He was a hard worker and was capable of anything he put his mind to. He painted and built houses, loved to fish, visited casinos for the slot machines and buffet. Ronald was a loving man that cared more for his kids than himself and he was compassionate, kind, forgiving, encouraging, and gave the best advice. Mr. Garcia was a great father, grandfather, and friend to many that will be missed by all his life has touched. Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Elizabeth Garcia; parents, Harry and Blanche Garcia; siblings, Harry Garcia Jr., Grace Salzman, Marvin Garcia, Louis Lott, Warren Garcia, Kenneth Garcia, and Charles Gonzales. Ronald is survived by his children, Rhonda Butler, Ronnie Garcia and wife Jackie, Robbie Garcia, and Rene` Garcia. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A visitation will be at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry on Friday November 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on November 5, 2021 with a Burial at Finley Cemetery in Gulfport, MS.
