Ricky Carlton Lewallen, 62 of Purvis, entered into Heaven July 4, 2020. He was born October 30, 1957 to Jimmy “James” David and Annie Mae (Boone) Lewallen in Atlanta, GA. Ricky is preceded in passing by his parents, grandparents (Liddie Boone and Bertie Lewallen); and several aunts and uncles. He leaves behind to treasure his memory; his brothers, James Walter and Greg Lewallen; his sisters, Donna and Terri Lewallen; daughters, Chloe’ and Charlie Farr; grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ricky was an amazing man. He proudly served in the United States Army, a golden gloves boxer and later in life worked as a crane operator. He absolutely loved his family and friends. He had a huge heart and would do anything for you. He was of the Christian faith, enjoyed reading and watching movies. Ricky will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh. He always had a story to tell and a smile to share. Ricky’s sense of humor, dedication to others and friendship will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, July 18 at Pine Grove Baptist Church on Purvis Oloh Rd., Purvis, MS at 3 pm to 5pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that in honor of Ricky, drink a Coca-Cola, watch a movie or call an old friend, hug a loved one.
