Richard Don Walker

Richard Don Walker, 73, of Picayune, MS., passed away on August 15, 2023, at his home. Richard was born on March 16, 1950, in Pascagoula, an only child, to his parents Lester and Dorothy (Goodrow) Walker. Richard was raised in Pascagoula but later moved to Picayune where he was well known and loved by many. Richard spent nine years working full time as a fireman for the Picayune Fire Department and for Walmart in Picayune doing whatever they needed done, outside, where he loved to be, before having to retire due to his health. Richard was a simple man, he spent most of his days drinking coffee, watching the clock, and discussing the weather. He will be remembered as a caring man who was always willing to help any time of day, for anyone. He is preceded in death by his parents Lester and Dorothy Walker and his late wife Sally Walker. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Amy (Welsey) Harvey of Wiggins; his son, Jason Walker of Wiggins; three grandchildren Riley and Raelyn Walker of Wiggins, and Elizabeth Frierson of Picayune; his soulmate and fiancé of over twenty years, Patricia Cucinello of Picayune; his bonus daughter and caretaker, Alta (Shane) Frierson of Picayune; and his four-legged friend, Max. Services for Richard will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry beginning at 5:00 pm for a Visitation. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Walker family during this time and asks that you remember Amy and his family in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
