Rebecca Lynn Agustin, 57 of McHenry, left us unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Nov. 22, 2023. She was born December 9, 1965, in Gulfport, the daughter of Modie Parker, Jr. and Margie Parker, who welcomed her into this world with open arms and a sense of humor that would shape her life. Becky, as she was known to most, grew up with her older brother Tommy and didn’t really have a lot of girls to play with, until her sister Melissa came along later. So she was a bit of a tomboy to a certain extent, but a beautiful young lady as well. She attended Stone County Schools where she was an active, outgoing student and friend to so many. Becky was a Tomcat cheerleader, graduating with the Class of 1983. She met the love of her life, Kenny Agustin, at a yogurt shop in Gulfport. Together, they made their home in McHenry and created a beautiful family, which included their daughter Ashleigh, along with a beloved daughter Gina, who predeceased her, and their son, Cameron, the boy she always wanted and cherished. Becky entered Ashleigh into several pageants through her younger years, winning many of them. When they eventually discovered her singing talent, they did all they could to support her in that endeavor, entering her in various events and loved hearing her sing. But it wasn’t all Ashleigh now. Becky loved and spoiled all her babies, with Kenny’s help of course. And when Preston and Parker came along, well let’s just say they were instantly the apples of her eye! Becky had a fulfilling career in office management and clerical work. She managed a medical office in Gulfport for several years, and most recently was the friendly face at the front desk at the Stone County Sheriff's Department. Away from work, she was all about her home and family. She had a knack for decorating, turning any space into a Pinterest-worthy setting with her creative eye and unique style. Everything had to be ready for friends and family to gather for a crawfish boils and get-togethers. But above all, Becky was a woman who loved her family fiercely. She was the ultimate cheerleader, always there to support and encourage her loved ones in their endeavors. She was a mother hen to her dogs, especially “Doot Doot”, who was also spoiled rotten under her care. Becky is remembered for an uncanny ability to make light of any situation. Whether it was a minor misstep or a significant setback, she was always ready with a joke or a funny anecdote to lift spirits. She was a beacon of positivity, always reminding those around her to look at the bright side of life. She lived her life with love, laughter, and a lot of coffee. She was the kind of person who could make you laugh until your sides hurt and then offer you a comforting cup of joe to soothe the pain. Her life was a testament to the power of laughter, the importance of family, and the joy of a well-decorated living room. Though she leaves us much too soon, let's all remember to laugh more, love deeply, and never underestimate the power of a good cup of coffee or a well-placed throw pillow. Becky, you will absolutely be missed, but your laughter will echo in our hearts forever. She is preceded by her father, Modie Parker, Jr., and a daughter, Gina Agustin. Left to cherish her memories are: her loving husband of over 35 years, Kenny; their daughter Ashleigh (Chase) Creekmore and son Cameron (Kim) Agustin; her loving mother Margie Parker, older brother Tommy Parker, and younger Sister Melissa Parker; two nieces: Sarah Warden and Brooke King, and nephew Mason Warden. She leaves a legacy of two grandsons, Preston and Parker Creekmore, along with numerous extended family and friends. Services are set for Sunday, Nov. 26th at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. Visitation begins at 11:00 AM, followed by a chapel service at 1:00 PM. Afterward she will be laid to rest in the McHenry Oaklawn Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Agustin family in their time of need and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this trying time.
