Raymond Fredrick Havens, Sr.

Raymond Fredrick Havens, Sr., 73, of McHenry, passed away on August 18, 2023, at Canon Hospice in Gulfport, MS after a long courageous battle with Dementia. Raymond was born on March 25, 1950, in Dallas, TX to his parents Oliver and Marjorie (Nylander) Havens. Raymond was drafted in 1969, joining the United States Air Force, where he proudly served overseas in both Vietnam and Guam for four years. In 1968, Raymond would marry the love of his life, Carolyn, and together they raised three beautiful children all across the Gulf Coast before retiring in McHenry. Raymond took pride in owning his own Automotive Repair business, something he would eventually share and pass on to his son. Raymond will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him. Raymond is preceded in death by his in-laws, Charles and Opal Carter. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Carolyn Havens of McHenry; his three children, Sherry (Mike) Daniel of Dallas, TX; Raymond (Emily) Havens, Jr. of Katy, TX, and Pam (Kevin) Roberts of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren, Kelsey Roberts of Houston, TX, Hayden Daniel of Dallas, TX, Clayton Roberts of Versailles, KY, Brooke Daniel of Fort Worth, TX, Coby Roberts of Houston, TX, Cole Daniel of Fort Collins, CO, Faith Havens, and Trey Havens both of Katy, TX; and one brother, Bob (Anita) Havens of Linden, TX. Services for Raymond will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry beginning with a Visitation at 11:30 followed by Internment at the Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
