Ralph Dennis Obituary

Ralph Anthony Dennis, 56 of Bay St Louis, MS passed in peace in the early hours of November 10, 2019 at Ochsner Hospital in Bay St Louis. He was born on December 17, 1962 in New Orleans, LA.  He went to Chalmette High School where he played trumpet and was quite musically talented playing first chair. He met his “woman” Beth and their two souls became one over 40 years ago, then marrying on January 16, 1997.  Ralph enjoyed fishing and crabbing like most southern men, but he also had a soft spot for cats.  He worked as a painter and carpenter all along the Louisiana and Mississippi Coast.  Ralph was known as “Pop’s, Dugan & Hippi” but his family and friends also knew his as funny, charming and overly generous.  He had a heart of gold.  He was the type that would do anything for anyone.  It is said that he even loved his enemies.  Ralph was diagnosed in 2004 with cancer and fought the good fight, never allowing the illness to define him.  He had a larger than life persona and will not be forgotten.  He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.  He is preceded in death by his uncle Gerald Dennis and his nephew, Joseph “JJ” Seal.  He is survived by his cherished wife and best friend, Elizabeth “Beth” Stiglet Dennis, only child,  Catrina Lucky and his two grandsons, Kai Anthony Lucky and Kaige Aiden Lucky, his mother Claire Stubbs, his sister Diane (Jay)  Fountain  and brother, Frank (Dori) Keating, and many nieces and nephews, including Jessica Peterson, Madelyn McClendon, Billy Petrick, John Seal, James Berry Jr, Ace Berry, Shane Berry, Richard Seal Jr, Jacob Seal, Theresa Stiglet, Ronald Stiglet Jr, Charles Stiglet, Eric Stiglet, Angela Parker, Lisa Orlando, Ken Orlando, Brad Keating , Scott Keating  and numerous great nieces and nephews whom he adored and cared for.  Ralph was a father figure to many, including, Patrick McKenna, Brain Galbreth, Elizabeth Weir, Melissa Landry and Jimmy Cummings.  Ralph leaves behind extended family, lifelong friends and 20 cats. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at St Clare Catholic Church (236 S Beach Blvd, Waveland, MS) on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Everyone is invited to bring a covered dish and continue the celebration in honor of Ralph at the church after the service.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist the Dennis family during this difficult time and ask that you keep them lifted up in your thoughts and prayers.
