Peggy Berndt Obituary

Peggy Jean Ladner-Berndt, 61, of Biloxi, Mississippi, was called to her eternal home on Saturday, June 20, 2020.  Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit J. Ladner, and Shirley A. Cuevas Ladner of Gulfport, Mississippi.  She is survived by her children, James E. Spiers, Jr., (Virginia), Ithaca, New York; Mandy E. Spiers, Long Beach, Mississippi, and Jennifer B. Tibbetts (Jason), Greenfield, Indiana.  Peggy was "Nana" to her beautiful grandchildren, Madison Spiers, Kaeden Spiers, Blakely Overall, and Shelby and Aunika Tibbetts.  She is also survived by her siblings, Belinda Rose (Jim) of Long Beach, Mississippi, Darlene Northrop Guidry (Pete) of D'Iberville, Mississippi, and Robin Ladner, Gulfport, Mississippi. Peggy was also survived by her devoted and loyal four-legged companion, Emma, who was by her side until the end.  Peggy always said, "Emma rescued me."  A small memorial service will be held at Trinity Funeral Services, 319 Highway 49 S., McHenry, Mississippi, on Tuesday, June 30 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  In honor of her wishes, her children are planning a Celebration of Life at the Gulfport Harbor on Thursday, July 2 at 8:00 p.m.  It was Peggy's desire to be cremated. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist Peggy’s family during this difficult time and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
