Mr. John D. Bradford, 62 of Wiggins, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 8th, 2017, at his residence. John was born March 20th, 1955 in Merced, CA, to Thomas and Virginia Rawls Bradford. He grew up in Big Level, and was a country boy at heart. He attended Stone High School, and joined the US Army. After his military service ended, he had a few careers, working at IP in Wiggins, Professional Geophysics in TX, and for the Sand Beach Department in Harrison county, before settling down as a firefighter with the MS Forestry Commission. John loved his children and grandkids wholeheartedly, and spent time with them whenever possible. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and travelling, especially to the mountains, and was an avid fisherman, active with the Gulf Coast Fishing Club. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Bradford (Chris Burke) and Rebecca Bradford, both of Perkinston, Katherine (Rob) Bankston of Baton Rouge, LA, and Patti Walsworth of the Silver Run community; his former wife, who he loved dearly, Linda Bradford; his siblings, a sister, Connie (George) Pearson, and brothers Kevin and Keith (Incha) Townsend, and Eddie Bradford; his father, Thomas Bradford, and his mother, Virginia Collar; a special daughter, Brooke Moody; 5 grandkids, and several nieces and nephews. John's wishes were to be cremated, which his family is following.
