Michael Allen Rhodes

Mr. Michael Allen Rhodes, age 43, of Ackerman, MS passed away on June 26, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. Michael was born on November 6, 1975 to Billy and Dona Rhodes. Mike as he was known to his family and friends, always tried to help others. He was determined to make everyone smile even on his worst days. Even at the hardest and darkest of times, he would try to bring light, love and sunshine to those around him. He never knew when to give up, a fiercely loyal friend, amazing and loving husband. devoted and wonderful father and loving son. He will be remembered as a hard working, artistic, creative and a fighter til the end. He was a member of Chester Baptist Church, CCHS Band Booster, volunteer and all around a joy to be around. Michael is preceded in death by his step-father, Hughbert Collier. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 15 years, Heather Rhodes; his children, Zack Rhodes, Seth Rhodes, Makayla Rhodes and Madison Donaldson; his mother, Dona Collier; father and step-mom, Billy and Beverly Rhodes; siblings, William Rhodes, Dusty Rhodes, Billy Joe Rhodes, Amanda Howard, Tina Hawks, Gina Stone, Bertha Stokes, Dr. Willard Collier, Dr. Arnold Collier and Dr. Raymond Collier, along with numerous extended family. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, to please donate in his name to St. Jude Children's Hospital so that there can be an end to childhood cancer and all cancer one day. There will be a Celebration of Life ceremony held on July 13, 2019 at 12 pm at Chester Baptist Church of Ackerman, MS. All are invited, pictures are welcomed and appreciated. It will be potluck. Family will be setting up a memory table so those who attend may write down some of their favorite memories and share wisdom for his children.
