Maxine (Cuevas) Glidewell

Maxine Glidewll, age 73 years young of Saucier, was welcomed into her eternal home on June 17th. She was born October 7, 1947, in Saucier to Weston Joe and Emily Wedgeworth Cuevas. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Wayne Glidewell; her son, Charlie Glidewell and brothers, Donald "Pete" and Randall Cuevas. Ms Maxine will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter in law, Gary and Cheri Glidewell; bonus sons, Rocky and Vince Allen;  grandson that she raised as her own, Zachery Glidewell; grandchildren, P.J., Dustin and Anthony Craven; great grands, Kailyn and Avery Craven; brother, Kenneth Cuevas; sister, Opal Bradley along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ms Maxine was one of a kind. She was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others. She was one of the most good hearted, strong, independent women you could or would ever meet. If she decided to do something, you better move out of her way! Between her stubbornness and determination whatever she set out to accomplish was going to get done. Ms Maxine was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and neighbors. She did this not out of obligation but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer to help, lots of times unbeknownst to the one she was helping. Ms Maxine's Christian faith was an essential part of her life. She was an important part of the founding of Living Waters Church where she spent a great deal of time mentoring to those around her. It is always hard to lose someone we love especially when that someone is like Ms Maxine. But in the midst of grief, we can remember her with joy and have comfort knowing that she is where she wants to be, in the arms of her Lord and Savior. Family invites you to join them for a homegoing service. Visitation will be held at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry on Tuesday, June 22nd beginning at noon with funeral ceremony at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Wedgeworth Cemetery on Saucier-Lizana Road. Pallbearers will be Gary Glidewell, Zachery Glidewell, Dustin Craven, Anthony Craven, Rocky Allen, Vince Allen and Clarence Johnson. Trinity Funeral Services is forever grateful for the prayers of Ms Maxine. No matter how much we try to put our love for her into words, we find that our words are not enough. She filled our hearts with her friendship that we will treasure forever. We ask that you keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this valley.
