Matthew Norman Young Siverio, 29 of Purvis, passed away Saturday, June 26th at his home. Matt was born August 23, 1991 in Slidell, LA, the youngest of two boys to Ralph Siverio, Jr. and Jullea Anna Young. He served in the MS National Guard until his tour ended in 2018. He was deployed overseas during Operation Enduring Freedom and was wounded when his humvee hit an IED. Matt suffered not only shrapnel, but two bullet wounds to the chest. Returning home he began a job at Camp Shelby as an MP. Leaving there, Matt went to construction work. On February 2, 2013, he was blessed with a son, Boston Matthew Young Siverio, who quickly became his heart. Matt was an extremely private and quite person. What gave him so much joy in this world was just spending time with his son. He is survived by his only son, Boston Siverio of Pascagoula; his loving mother and stepfather, Jullea (Frank) Couste' and his brother Ralph Siverio, III, all of Purvis; his father Ralph Siverio, Jr. of Long Beach; his grandfather Joseph A. Young, along with two stepbrothers, a stepsister and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family has set services for Saturday, July 10th at Good Hope Baptist Church in Purvis, where Matt was a member. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 12 noon. Matt's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. In lieu of floral arrangements, a support fund has been established at Hancock Whitney Bank for Matt's son Boston. It is listed under Jullea Couste' / Boston Siverio and donations can be made at any Hancock Whitney branch. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Siverio family in their time of need. Please join us in keeping them lifted up in your prayers through this deep valley.
