Mary Ellen Wilson, 68, left this world on April 16, 2022, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at St Joseph's Hospice in Gulfport, MS. Mary was born on October 14, 1953, in Gulfport, MS to Pearly and Mary Ellen (Walker) Smith. Raised in Gulfport, where she would meet, Richard Wilson or "Ricky" as she loved to call him, whom she was happily married to for fifty years, until the Lord called him home earlier this year. A natural born homemaker, Mary loved taking care of her husband and making sure his and everyone else's needs were met, before hers. Mary and Ricky would go on to raise their five children there in Gulfport, creating a life full of love and laughter. She was a sucker for romance novels, where she spent a lot of her time nestled down in a good love story. Mary was a crafty woman, she loved to bake and decorate cakes and was famous for her bows she made around the holidays, Christmas being her favorite of all. Mary had a special place for her grandbabies and would spoil them rotten every chance she got. She will be missed immensely by all those who loved and cherished her, but they all know her last wishes were to be in the arms of her precious Ricky once again. Mary is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years Richard "Ricky" Wilson; one granddaughter Alexis Bosarge; one nephew Michael Montana Wilson; and two brothers Kevin and Milton Smith. Left here to cherish her memory are her children Richard Adam Wilson of TX, Henry Brad (Vanessa) Wilson of Ozark, AL, Christopher Michael Wilson of Gulfport, MS, Steve Marrion (Tiffany) Wilson of Pace, FL, and Katrina Michelle (Aubry) Bosarge of Saucier, MS; two sisters Brenda Smith of Anchorage, AK and Cheryl Williams of Gulfport, MS; a legacy of seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family. Services for Mary will be held at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry beginning with a Visitation from 10 am until 12 pm with a Funeral Service beginning at 12 pm and her interment to Free Church of God Cemetery to follow. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Wilson family during this difficult time and would ask that you remember her children and family in your prayers in the days to come.
