Mary Misaniah Snow Manns, 68 of Ackerman, passed away Tuesday evening October 6th at North MS Medical Center. Born October 24, 1951, Mary is the daughter and oldest of two children to Winford Hunt & Flora Alene (Stacy) Snow. She grew up in the Reform community in Choctaw county and loved to read. Mary could usually be found sitting or laying in the sunshine reading a book. She also enjoyed music and dancing, arts and crafts, making jewelry, along with painting and crocheting. A graduate of Ackerman High School with the Class of 1969, Mary went on to graduate from Drone's Business College in Jackson and went to work for the Department of Human Services. She is remembered as one who would "bend over backwards" to help anyone. A Christian by faith, Mary was baptized at Springhill Baptist Church many years ago, later moving to Blythe's Creek. An amazing mother who never gave up on her daughter, Mary taught her all she could in life, even handing down her pork chop casserole recipe, a favorite family dish. A loving sister, mom and trusted friend, Mary will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all whose life she touched. She was preceded by her parents, Winford & Alene Snow. Left to cherish her many memoires are: her daughter Loucreshia (Mark) Keeton of Ackerman; her brother Sammy (Regina) Snow and their son Joshua of Mathiston, with their daughter Heather (C.J.) Young of Eupora, with many extended family, friends and neighbors through the years. Mary's final wishes were to be cremated, which the family is honoring. A memorial service may be held at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Manns family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
