Maria Ann Legnon

Maria Ann Legnon, 46 of Kiln by way of Slidell, LA, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Slidell Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 04, 1975 in Morgan City, LA, one of seven and the only daughter to Norah and Marie Ann (Garess) Legnon. Maria grew up in Slidell and was an outdoors, South Louisiana girl who loved her some hunting and fishing. She attended Slidell schools and married Robert Rosson in 1994. The young couple made their home in the Slidell area and Maria worked in the recycling business for several years. She was a spunky, hard-working woman who was not afraid to put in a good days work, nor shy away from any task that needed to be done. Maria is remembered as a generous, loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She continued to love the outdoors, spending lots of time camping, hunting, and fishing through the years, including her daughter and grandchildren as often as possible. Maria was just an amazing woman, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who leaves us much too soon. She will be dearly missed by all whose life she touched. She was preceded by her parents, Norah and Marie Legnon, and five of her siblings. Left to cherish her memories are: her loving husband of over thirty years, Robert Rosson; their only daughter, Calinda (Joshua) Rosson of Kiln, MS; and one brother. She leaves a legacy of three granddaughters who were her entire world: Aubrie, Adalyne, and Freya, all of Kiln, along with numerous extended family and friends. Her final wishes were to be cremated which her family is honoring, and a celebration of her life may be planned for a later date.
