Lonnie Hedrick, Jr. Obituary

Lonnie Ray Hedrick, Jr., of Wiggins, Ms., passed away in Gulfport on September 11, 2021, at the age of 64. He was born, one of sixteen, June 6, 1957, in Jasper, AL, to Lonnie Ray and Clara (Alvis) Hedrick.  Lonnie had a love for nature and traveling to Alabama with his bride, Maggie, where he loved showing her trails and waterfalls.  If loving junk was a hobby, then it was Lonnie's.  He loved to collect all types of things, especially anything to do with fixing old cars. Since he was young, Lonnie loved old cars, and as he got older he loved to fix them. There wasn't a time Lonnie turned down a good steak and cold mountain dew.  He loved to cook, watch Nascar, and Westerns, just not John Wayne. It was a rare occasion if you saw Lonnie dressed up and if he was you'd better get a picture because he would be back in blue jeans and a t'shirt as soon as he could slip away.  He was an avid member of his church, Hidden Mana Tabernacle, and he loved helping with the fundraisers. When he wasn't helping with church he was hanging out with his little buddies Joshua and Michael. Aside from blue jeans, he had a love for Maggie that went unmatched.  They were soul mates! He is preceded in death by his parents Lonnie Ray and Clara (Alvis) Hedrick and his sister Katherine Hedrick.  Left to cherish the memory of Lonnie are his loving bride Maggie (O'Neal) Hedrick; his step-daughters Amber Tobert, and Kelly Smith; his step-son Alex McKay; two bonus daughters he loved as his own Jolynn Ryals and Caroline Everheart; and eight grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lonnie's wishes were to be cremated which his family is honoring. A memorial service will be held at Hidden Mana Tabernacle in Wiggins, MS on September 26, 2021. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Hedrick family during this difficult time and would ask that you cover them in prayer in the days to come.
