Larry Wilson Flynt (78) of Hattiesburg passed from this life on July 9, 2021, at his home. Mr. Flynt was born on September 9, 1942, to Charlie L. and Maudie Green Flynt in Columbia, Mississippi. He graduated from Columbia High School, Pearl River Junior College, and the University of Southern Mississippi. He also received a Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychology at Mississippi State University. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elaine Bilbo Flynt, two children: Lori Plumlee (Denton) and Julie Little (Sean), six grandchildren: Rhyan Plumlee, John Rhys Plumlee, Reese Plumlee, Logan Little, Luke Little, and Zachary Little, and one brother, Jerrol Flynt (Erana) of New Roads, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother: Bobby Charles Flynt, sister: Joan Merritt, and his son: David Lawrence Flynt. He was a Christian and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He founded Hi-Lite Signs, where he enjoyed working closely with his son for many years. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family. His other hobbies included cooking, listening to music, and studying the Bible. He also loved supporting his grandchildren by cheering on the Oak Grove Warriors and Ole Miss Rebels. The funeral will be held on July 13, 2021, at Immanuel Baptist Church. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at Coaltown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Immanuel Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
