Kristina Marie Franklin

Kristina Marie Franklin, age 34, passed away on Monday, November 6th, 2023 in Jackson, MS. Kristina was born in Houston, TX but resided in Gulfport, MS. She enjoyed being a mother, online shopping, decorating, listening to music, competing in sports, and absolutely loved getting together with her family. The family would like to express their thankfulness to all the family and friends who have continued to pray and show support during this difficult time. They would also like to express gratitude to everyone who has donated funds thus far. It is with great joy to announce that Kristina accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. With that being said, her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 3:00pm at Bruce Ladner Memorial Park in Gulfport, MS on Hwy 53. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Franklin family in their time of need and asks you to keep them in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

Kristina was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ricardo Paez Mata and Isaac Gary Jr; grandmother, Mary Jeanette Leger; mother-in-law, Tracey Sonnier; step-father, Clifton Howard Garland.

She is survived by her fiance, Manuel Powell; children, Anthony Mata, Terry Franklin "Jr.", and Kamryn Fontenot; parents, Ramon Mata (Carolyn) and Nola Winder (Mike); brothers, Raymond Mata (Ashley), Andrew Mata, and James Leger (Jessica); Nephews, Silas Mata, Tucker Grundstrom, Mason Grundstrom; Niece, Gemma Leger; Step siblings, Crystal Mallety, Ciara Hill, Angel Winder, and Noah Coleman.
