Kimberly D. Kennedy Obituary

Kimberly Dawn Kennedy, 44 of Pass Christian, departed this life March 10th, 2024. She was born on February 29, 1980, in Biloxi, as the second child of Frank and Joann (Brooks) Carter. Affectionately known as Kim to her loved ones, she spent her childhood in the Ocean Springs area, radiating joy and vitality. Kim shared a special bond with her older brother and younger sister, engaging in playful activities like riding bicycles and occasionally indulging in sibling rivalries. Kim's affection for girlish interests such as makeup and fashion belied her strong-willed nature, which garnered admiration from those around her.

After graduating from Moss Point High School in 1998, Kim settled in Biloxi before finding her home in Pass Christian. She initially worked at Subway, where she rose to the position of store manager, and later pursued opportunities at McDonald's, completing their management training program. With the arrival of her children, Kim dedicated herself to motherhood, prioritizing their well-being above all else. Her commitment to her family was unwavering.

In the early 2000s, Kim pursued further education at MGCCC, earning an Associate's of Arts in Business Management. In her leisure time, she indulged in self-care activities, relishing manicures, pedicures, and spa treatments. Kim's outward appearance always reflected her inner grace and elegance.

Kim's brother fondly remembers her as his closest confidante, a testament to her unwavering loyalty and support. Her nurturing nature extended to all those she held dear, earning her the reputation of being dependable and compassionate. As a mother and friend, Kim's love knew no bounds. Her immense heart and devotion to her family will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Kim was preceded in death by her father, Frank Carter, her mother, Joann Ballard, her sister Sarah Waltman, and her husband, Don Kennedy. She is survived by her four beloved children: Devin and Katelynn Kennedy, along with Little Perry and Raymond Stephens, all residing in Pass Christian. She is also survived by her brother, Scotty Jones (Stephanie McMichael) of Ocean Springs, her aunt Brenda Loll of Thomas, LA, and her cousins, Eric and Amber Martin of Ocean Springs. Kim's departure leaves a void in the lives of her extended family and countless friends, who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.

In accordance with her final wishes, Kim will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at a later date.
