John Hugh McGee

John Hugh McGee, 76, of Wiggins passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 23, 2020. He was born in Louisiana on March 10, 1944 to John and Audrey McGee. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeremy McGee and sister, Carol Slade. John leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife, Deborah McGee; sons and daughters in law, Chuck and Penny McGee, Clay and Kelli McGee, Brian and Belinda McGee and Shawn Carey; a legacy of grandchildren, Christopher & Jenni, JJ, Jeremy, Trevor and Katelyn, Sesli, Lori and Wyatt, Katie, Brittany and Dexter and Deanna; great- grands, Landon, McKenzie, Brock, Braxton, Cayson, Charleigh and Cole; siblings and in laws, Charlie and Lizz McGee, Paul and Lorraine McGee, Joe McGee, Nelda and Ray Lawler, Tammy and Terry Burr and Jimmy Slade, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In John's younger days, he loved to play softball. John was from the old school and believed in tough love. John had a love for the outdoors, camping, fishing and canoeing. He exhibited the true skills of a craftsman while hand making knives and working on guns. John was loved by his family and will be missed beyond measure. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, October, 24 from 2 pm to 3 pm at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. A graveside service will follow at Ten Mile Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make a donation to the Wiggins SPCA. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the McGee family during this difficult time and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
