John Lyons Obituary

John D. Lyons, age 54, of D'Iberville, Mississippi died peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Mobile.

 

Affectionately known by his family and friends as JD, he was born June 25, 1966 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Barbara Gene Reach and the late James Edgar Lyons, Sr.

 

JD was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. 

 

He was a true Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to fish. He looked forward to spending a week Cruisin' the Coast each year with his late father in law, JD Fountain.  The two of them shared a passion for classic cars.  He worked for Beau Rivage for many years and most recently with  Gulfport Behavioral Health System.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Lorene Fountain Lyons; children, Jonathan Fountain (Brandi), Ryan Lyons (Whitney), Lacey Warden (Austin) and Jeremy Lyons ; mother Barbara Gene Reach; siblings, Debra Allgood (Tony), James "Buddy" Lyons, Jr. (Pam), Tammy White and Michael Reach (Cassi); grandchildren, Jayden Fountain, Ayvahh Lyons, Sebastian Lyons, Everleigh Warden, and Ace Warden; his long time best friend, Larry Thompson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and in laws.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, www.msdiabetes.org

 

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
