John Dale Comeaux, Jr.

John Dale Comeaux, Jr., 53, was critically wounded in an accident on I-59 in the early morning hours on May 24, 2023. He was born on July 10, 1969 in New Orleans, the oldest of three boys to John Dale, Sr. and the late Patricia Gail (Bailey) Comeaux. John grew up in New Orleans and Kenner where he enjoyed sports and the outdoors, hunting and so on. He played baseball and football in rec leagues and school. John dropped out of school to care for his mother who was ill, but later obtained his GED through Pearl River Community College. He went to work offshore for some time, and also worked for some time as a carpenter in construction. He is remembered as a compassionate guy that loved his family. Always eager to help, the "shirt off his back" has been given away many times over the years. John was a fun-loving person that enjoyed his music, eating, and spending time with his family. His sudden departure has left us all in shock. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Patricia (Bailey) Comeaux. Left to cherish his memories are: his father, John (Teofila) Comeaux, Sr. of Poplarville; his brothers Christopher and Jonathon Comeaux; nephews Christopher and Wilton Comeaux; aunts and uncles: Carolyn (Wayne) Landreaux, Cleo (Becky) Comeaux, Perry (Terry) Comeaux, Gaile Comeaux, Ruby Davilla, and Francis Comeaux, along with numerous extended family, friends, and co-workers through the years. John's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring, and will plan a celebration of his life at a later date.
