Joey M. Deschamp, 65, of Pass Christian, passed away on August 20, 2023, peacefully in his home after his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Joey was born one of five children on September 13, 1957, in Gulfport to his parents, Ruford and Dorothy (Necaise) Deschamp. Joey was a very selfless man, he was hard-working, self-driven, and dedicated to everything in life. Always willing to help any and everyone. Joey stayed busy with his hands constantly in something. Joey enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting, boat rides, cold beer, good company, and music. After forty loyal years, Joey retired from Taber Metals, or Indal Aluminum as some may know it, as the shipping and receiving manager. Joey cherished his family and spent his life loving and caring for them more than anything. Not a day will go by that Joey will not be immensely missed by his family whom he loved very much. Joey is preceded in death by his parents, Ruford and Dorothy (Necaise) Deschamp, one sister Janice Galle, and one little brother, Timmy Deschamp. Left to cherish the legacy of Joey, his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of forty-five years, Marion (Neff) Deschamp of Pass Christian; his only daughter and daddy's girl, Lana (Stephen) Necaise of Pass Christian; two grandchildren, Papa's buddy, Weylin Necaise and Papa's sweetheart, Karli-Jo Necaise; two sisters that he loved dearly, Judy Deschamp and Shelia (Kent Sr.) Williams; two God children, Sammy Williams, and Brittany Welsh; a cousin and best friend, Ron (Mona) Malley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews he loved as his own, many cousins extended family, and friends. A memorial service for Joey will be held at Grace Chapel, 9208 Edwin Ladner Road, Pass Christian, MS 39571, where his extended family and friends are invited to join Marion and Lana for a visitation beginning at 11:00 am followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, August 26, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you would make donations in Joey's honor to Grace Chapel Church. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Deschamp family during this difficult time and would ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
