Jessica Latorie Shade-Johnson was born on September 8, 1976 in Laurel, MS to Beulah Mae Scarbrough Shade and the late Ben Alford Shade. On November 3, 2021, God called her home. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Rena Mae Terrell, father Ben Alford Shade, and stepson Maurice Daniel.
Jessica attended school in Wiggins, MS and later moved to Gulfport, MS, where she met her husband, Fred Johnson. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Diamondhead MS. Then she decided to join a travel agency, providing the best care possible for her patients over the course of many years.
She was the most loving, kind, and hard-working person anyone could have ever met. She loved her family. If you needed her, any time, any day, she was there. She was the first one to arrive and the last one to leave. She was no doubt the life of any party. Our own personal dancing and singing machine. She was a person that once you met her, you would never forget her, the one and only Shorty Cowboy (Cowgirl).
Jessica will be greatly missed and leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband Fred Johnson.
