Jerry Thompson Obituary

Jerry Smith Thompson, 79 of Jackson, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Merit Central Hospital. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Korea as a Fire Protection Specialist during the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bertie Dawsey Thompson, his father, Ralph Butterfield Thompson and his mother Birdie May; his brother, Hugh Nelson (“HN”) Thompson and his sister, Bobbie Wells. He is survived by his three sons, Joey Thompson, Shan Thompson and Chris Thompson, 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends.
