Janice Elaine Hill, 69 of Saucier, passed away Sunday October 22, surrounded by her family. Janice was the oldest of six children, born March 02, 1954 to R.C. Lind and Sarah Elizabeth (Moran) Harvey. Jan was a loving mother, sister, and a true friend. She loved being outdoors and had a very green thumb, she could take any flower, wilted stem, or just something she picked up and make it grow. She was a very special light and cared deeply for her family and her little buck toothed dog, Patch. Jan was hardheaded, no easy way to say it, she was defiant, she believed in what she believed in and that is what made her who she was. She was a mother to many, friend to most, and loving to all. She will be remembered for her delicious cooking, caring attitude, and a big heart. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wendall and Kyle Lind, and sister Gaynell Lind Martin. Left to cherish in her memories are her two sons Rocky (Tricia) Allen of Lizana and Vince (Holly) Allen of Perkinston, a daughter Wanda Hill of Gulfport, brothers Randy (Charlotte) Lind of Saucier, and Timothy Anderson of Saucier, along with several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many extended family, and friends. Her final wishes were to be cremated and to have her ashes cast among the land and flowers, or as she put it anywhere but water. Her wishes were for no services and no one making a fuss over her.
“A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father” John 16:16
