Janice Gail Beckman age 73, passed away on August 12, 2023 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. She was born on February 1, 1950 in Killeen, Texas to the late Theron Shumaker and Vaida Elnora Ross Shumaker Miller. Janice was a pillar of strength and support for her family, a constant presence in their lives no matter the situation. Her unwavering love and dedication knew no bounds, and her kindness and generosity touched the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and loved, and her warm smile and open arms were always there to provide comfort. Janice's vibrant personality was a true gift to the world. She was known for her outspoken nature, always ready to share her thoughts and opinions with a good dose of humor. Her persistence was a testament to her strong-willed nature, which served her well in her endeavors. Professionally, Janice found her calling working with both the elderly and children. Janice’s compassion and patience were evident in the way she interacted with them, bringing comfort and joy to those who needed it most. She had an innate talent for making connections and building relationships. Her interests were as diverse as her personality. Janice had a fondness for the magical world of Harry Potter and the adorable charm of Baby Groot. She found solace in the innocence of Bambi and the joy of collecting various treasures and memorabilia. Her enthusiasm for collecting reflected her appreciation for life's little joys. Above all, Janice's loyalty to her family knew no bounds. She cherished every moment spent with them and held them close to her heart. Her love for them was immeasurable, and they were the driving force behind everything she did. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the love she shared. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts as a reminder of the beauty of a life lived with love, compassion, and unwavering devotion. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Allen William Miller and Vaida Elnora Ross Shumaker Miller; brother, Theron James Shumaker; and one sister, Judith Ann Franklin. Left to cherish her memories is her husband, William “Bill” Beckman; sisters, Susan (Debbie) Shumaker, and Cheryl (Steve) Jackson; children, Colleen (Bill) Dunsmore, Michelle Russell, Farrah (Ryan) Downey, William “Billy” Beckman Jr., and Steve (Amy) Beckman. Also left to cherish her memories are two nieces, two nephews, twelve grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
