James Kenneth Whitesides, Jr.

James Kenneth "JK" Whitesides, Jr. passed away October 28, 2023 in Gulfport, MS. Born in Shannon, MS on June 20, 1948 to James and Georgia Whitesides, Sr. JK loved spending time at the local watering hole, where he enjoyed his favorite, an ice-cold Budweiser, marking him a friendly and familiar figure. Once he moved from Shannon, MS to the coast he enjoyed the occasional days of fishing, as any Mississippian would. But above all, JK cherished his role as Grandpa. His grandsons were his pride and joy, and he took great delight in caring for his beloved fur babies, Roxy and Shirley. To say the least, JK was the kind of man who would relish in the simple life. He will be missed dearly. He is preceded by his parents, James and Georgia Whitesides, Sr. Left to cherish his memories is his girlfriend, Lynn Truelove; two daughters, Jacquelyn Whitesides and Robyn Whitesides; brother, Tommy Whitesides; and grandchildren, Jacob Ferguson, Jaxten Stratz, and Devon Washington. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Whitesides family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
