James Franklin Myers, Jr., 91 of Hattiesburg, passed away September 9, 2021 at Canon Hospice in Gulfport. He was born July 29, 1930, one of three sons to James and Nina Myers, Sr. He lived a modest but simple life, enjoying it to the fullest every day. He tried fishing once and loved listening to baseball games on the radio. James served in the US Army for three years and made a career with A&P after his discharge. He was Catholic by faith and didn't want a "big fuss" made of it when he departed this life. His final wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest with his wife in Michigan, which his family is honoring. James was preceded by his parents, James and Nina Myers, Sr., his brother Donny, his loving wife Kathleen Myers and a son, James Myers, III. He is survived by his children, daughters Michele Affer and Cynthia Abott, with a son Joseph Myers; and one brother Jack Myers. He leaves six grandchildren, four great-grands and numerous extended family and friends. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Meyers family in their time of need and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.
