Ismael Carrasco Obituary

Ismael William Carrasco, 49 of the Seneca community outside Lumberton, passed away at his home Saturday, September 25, 2021. He was born on Halloween 1971 in Encino, a suburb of Los Angeles, California, the son of Ismael Gutierrez and Leona (Polinsky) Carrasco. Bill, as most knew him, grew up in North Hollywood, fairly close to the ocean so it was only natural that he learned to surf. He also enjoyed most sports, but loved to play baseball, along with skateboarding and hanging out with his friends. Bill graduated from Ulysses S. Grant High School and joined the US Army at 17 years old. Bill would spend the next twenty-plus years serving our country. While at Camp Shelby in 2007, he met Karen. They began dating, were married in August of 2008 while in Las Vegas, NV and made their home in the Lumberton area. Bill continued his service in the MS Army National Guard and was a proud member of Bravo Company, 106 BSB, Laurel, Mississippi. In his civilian life, he was the Branch Operations Manager for Kaman Industrial Technologies. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He would take his sons on things they enjoyed, like train tracking with Drew or sporting events with Danny. Of course, hunting, fishing or a trip to the movies was always an option as well. Bill was a fun loving husband, father and a true patriot. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Left to cherish the his many memories are: his loving wife Karen Niemeyer Carrasco; his children: daughter Tiffani Carrasco of Pasadena, CA, with sons Danny Niemeyer and Drew Carrasco, both of Lumberton; his father Ismael (Christina) Carrasco of North Hollywood, CA, and his mother Leona Carrasco of Las Vegas; sisters Anne Sherer of West Hills, CA and Christy Carrasco of North Hollywood; his uncle, Robert Polinsky of Las Vegas, with his niece Angelique Villareal and nephews Anthony Lara and Angel Deanda, all of Los Angeles. He leaves a legacy of one grandson, Riley Bacon, with one more due very soon, Jaxon Brusa, along with numerous extended family and friends, including his military family as well. Services will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 at Trinity Funeral Services' Lumberton location. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, with departure at 12:50 PM for a 1:00 graveside service in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Cemetery in Seneca. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Carrasco family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your in your thoughts and prayers over this difficult time.
