Isaac Willie Johnson, Jr. age 96 of Saucier passed away April 26th at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Gulfport. He was born March 9, 1925 in Saucier, MS to Isaac Sr. and Laura May Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Coy, Rex and Donivan Johnson; sisters, Lola May and Dona Lou Pack . Ike is survived by the love of his life and wife of 58 years, Betty Johnson; his children, Linda Edwards, Susan (David) Pickens, Bruce Swanson and Paula Swanson, Mary Gardner, Kelly Longdin, Isaac (Lindsay) Johnson III, Pamela (Bill) Jones, Jeptha (Stacey) Johnson and Tabatha Hamby; sisters, Juanita Smith, , Lily Grace Denning and Troy Vee Dortch, brothers, Hilliard Johnson and Kent Johnson; a barrel full of grandchildren and great-grands along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ike was born and raised in Saucier, MS. He was a graduate from Success School. He loved to travel having visited 49 states and lived in many places, but south Mississippi was where he hung his hat and called his home. He was a member of Poplar Head United Methodist Church. Ike had a love for God, his family and his country. He was from an era that believed in patriotism. He knew what was right and expected it from those around him. While Ike’s family grieves their lose in his death they are comforted knowing where he hangs his hat now. A Graveside service will be held Thursday, April 29th at Bethel Community Cemetery at 4 pm.
