Harold Tynes Obituary

Harold Dean Tynes, 83 of McHenry, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, September 7, 2021, from Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. He was born February 8, 1938, to John W. and Rebecca Tynes of Sandyhook, MS. He was born in Sandy Hook, MS before moving to Gulfport as a child with his family . Harold and Vera would make their home in Gulfport, MS before retiring to McHenry,  Ms. He worked for Sav A Center for 45 years as well as proudly serving his country for 9 years in the Army National Guard . Harold loved to sing and play the harmonica in fact he played at the bicentennial event in Gulfport with the dulcimers. He had the ability to bring joy to so many peoples life. Harold was a member of Sunflower Baptist Church as well frequent Sundays spent at Ten Mile Baptist Church. If the church doors were open, he was there , no matter what church it was, he lived and walked his life worshiping GOD!! A devoted Christian, he was equally devoted to his family and friends, grandchildren, hobbies and nature. He would always find the good in anyone as well as the beauty in nature. Harold loved to color and bring art to life, as well as listening to music, singing hymms, working outside, planting trees and flowers, and a good cup of coffee. He was always ready to go on adventures, exploring everything the Gulf South had to offer. From its parks to out of the way shops, Harold made friends easily along the way. Harold preferred collecting moments and memories to material things. Harold had the biggest heart and this earthly realm is just a little dimmer in his absence, but Heaven is surely just a little brighter. He would say, “all is well with my soul.” Harold was a member of Sunflower Church and also went to Ten Mile Church , he loved his church family very much. He will join his loving wife Vera Christine Tynes, as well as his mother, father, and siblings who have went on before him to dwell in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Left here on earth to cherish his memories are his son Jeffrey (Kathy) Tynes; his daughter Julie (Greg) Tynes; and two beautiful granddaughters, Meagan Tynes-Ritter and Lily Vera, as well as a legacy of two wonderful great grandchildren.  The Tynes family invites you to join them for a graveside service honoring Mr. Tynes, Friday, September 10, 2021 beginning at 1:30 pm for friends and extended family at Sunflower Baptist Church Cemetery.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Tynes family during this time and would ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers in days ahead.
