Haley "Bug" Loraine Jenkins

Haley "Bug" Loraine Jenkins, 21, of Gulfport, MS., passed away a hero, on March 15, 2023, at University Hospital in Jackson, MS. Haley was born on January 07, 2002, in Picayune, to her parents James and Virginia (Carroll) Jenkins. Haley was a true daddy's girl, from the time James literally delivered her in the delivery room until she breathed her last breath. She was the definition of a tomboy! She could out-hunt, fish, dip, spit, cuss, and punch any boy!! She loved family time, whether it was playing corn hole, eating crawfish, or having a BBQ, Haley loved being surrounded by all of her family. She may have been a rough-and-tumble kind of girl, but she could also be delicate, especially when it came to growing and tending to her garden. Haley was extremely protective of her sisters Dallas and Temperance and was the best Aunt to all of her babies!! To say she loved deeply would be an understatement. If she loved you, then she LOVED you with all she had. Just pray you didn't ever end up on her bad side!! "Haley Bug", as those closest to her called her, began a battle at just four years old. A battle that she and her family fought TOGETHER each and every day. One of Haley's best moments was when she received her driver's license. She was so excited to mark Organ Donor on her license so she could give someone else the opportunity at life. And that is just what she did, she has already saved so many lives through her selfless donation. Haley is preceded in death by her grandmother, Patsy Loraine Jenkins; her PawPaw Ben McWilliams; her PawPaw Toney Cetrone; her Uncle Tracy Collier and Richard Carroll; and Aunt Sandy Carroll. Left to carry on her legacy are, her daddy James (Donna McWilliams) Jenkins; her momma Virginia (Daryl Kent) Carroll; sisters Dallas (Bubby) Kellar and Temperance Jenkins; Papa Ronald Carroll; MawMaw Mattie Cetrone; Mimi Theresa McWilliams; one niece Addilynn Kellar; two nephews Bentley and Waylon Kellar; Uncles John (Lori) Carroll, and Wool (Brendi) Carroll; Aunts Tiffany and Kimberly McWilliams; and her four-legged friend, Harriet, as well as numerous cousins and friends. A memorial service for Haley will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, beginning at 1:00 pm for extended family and friends at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry.
