Felix Charles Smith, III, 45 of Bendale, passed away December 25th at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. He was born on January 26, 1976 in Biloxi, MS to parents Felix Charles Smith, Jr. and the late Deborah Lynn Herbert Smith. Felix grew up on the Gulf Coast where he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He and his brother played outside, up and down the banks of the Pascagoula river, riding their bicycles most everywhere they went. He became known as "Boo", a nickname that remained with him through the years. He had a knack for computers and could do most anything with them, but worked with his father in the heating and air business. Boo attended Gautier and Petal schools, graduating from Petal High with the Class of 1994. He made his career in the HVAC industry, working with Ball for a while before becoming licensed and working for himself. Boo is remembered as a great son and wonderful father. He had a heart as big as a school bus, eager to help anyone. He was just an all around good guy in every sense of the word. His two boys were the light of his life and he spent as much time with them as he could. Anything and everything for them, he was right there with them. An awesome son and an even better father, Boo wilI be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his mother, Deborah Lindquist, his brother Ivy Smith, his uncles Alton Fagan and Kenneth Mallette, his maternal grandparents, Ivy and Hazel Hebert, and his namesake, paternal grandparents, Felix C. Sr. and Mavis Smith. Left to cherish his memories are: his two boys, Brandon and Blake Smith; his loving father, Felix C. Smith, Jr. and stepmother, Jane Lewis, both of Saucier; his sisters Cheryl (Pat) Everett of Biloxi, Amanda Smith (Daniel Schmidt) of Picayune, and one brother, Chris (Tara Steward) Smith of Gulfport; his aunts and uncles: Mike (Karen) Smith of Gautier, Pat Davis of AL, Charlene Fagan of Petal, Jon (Kim) Griffin of AL, Suzie Mallette of Biloxi, Gracie (Roger) Green, and Hazel "Pepper" (Frank) Gill of Biloxi. He leaves a very close cousin, Ben Sudduth, along with numerous additional extended family and friends. Services are set for Friday, Dec. 31st at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a chapel service at 12:00 noon. Afterward, Boo will be laid to rest in the Coalville Cemetery in Woolmarket. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Smith family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
