The family of longtime Wiggins resident, Edith Lyon Main, is heartbroken to share the news of her passing at age 84. Edith's enjoyment came from gardening, her dogs, bird watching, collecting frogs, and spending quality time with her family. She always made a special effort to spend play time with her children when they were young. As they grew older, she loved going hunting and fishing with Don and the boys and watching her grandchildren grow up.
Her spirit is carried on by her sons, Dale (Myla), John (Barbara), and Eddie (Edna); her 6 grandchildren, her 12 great-grandchildren, her 8 great-great-grandchildren, her sister Dorothy Downs, her brothers Dennis and Garland Lyon, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She has reunited with her husband of 47 years, Donald Main; her parents Edward and Ophelia Lyon, and her siblings Evelyn Johnson, Harmon Lyon, and Betty Retherford.
Services are set for Tuesday morning, May 17th at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, with Bro. Tommy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, with a chapel service to begin at 11:30. Afterward, Edith will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Park Cemetery in Wiggins. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Main family in their time of need and asks everyone to keep them lifted up in prayer over these difficult days.
