Donna Renee (Papania) Holland, 50 of Gulfport and the Magnolia community of Stone county, succumbed to cancer at her home where she surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 13, 1969 in Gulfport, the oldest of three children to Robert Joseph and Norma Marie (Lovell) Papania. Donna grew up in the Gulfport area wjere she enjoyed playing games, such as bingo and softball. She was a "handful" as a daughter by her mother's account, a girl that was into everything. She was married and made her home in Gulfport for many years. Donna was Donna. Independent and determined in her approach, she was someone that always spoke her mind, to a fault even. You never had to wonder where you stood with her. While she was direct and blunt, Donna was also a kind, loving woman that was so giving, which she did to a fault as well. She loved her family and children, doing her best to care for, provide and protect them as a loving mother would. Her daughter Destiny got into showing dogs and Donna became the driver, covering 42 states over the years as they brought home many championships. She loved life, living it her way, which was mostly jovial and carefree. Though she leaves this life much too soon, she leaves many fond memories, which those who knew and loved her will cherish in their hearts. Donna was preceded by her father, Bobby Joe Papania, her step-father Harold Lovell, grandmothers Ona May Shavers and Kallie Papanie, and her aunt, Vondell Bissett. She is survived by: her three children, Destiny and Bryce Myers and Anthony Holland; her mother Nora Lovell; her sister Jincy Lowell and her brother Brent Dean; her former husband AuBoy Holland; her much-loved cousins Sandy, Sherry, Rhonda and Kathy; long-time bestest best friend, Sandy Rester, and her favorit four-legged companion, TaDa. Donna also leaves numerous extended family and friends. Her wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. They will hold a memorial service for Donna at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Holland family in their time of need. Please keep them lifted up in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
