Donald Lee Hood

Donald Lee Hood, 66, passed away in Gulfport on May 16, 2023. He was born on October 12, 1956 in Belzoni, Mississippi to the late Leon and Myrna Hood. Known for his modesty and comedic personality, Donald brought laughter and joy to those around him. He had a natural ability to lighten the mood and put smiles on the faces of his family and friends. His wit and humor will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Donald proudly served in the Navy, where he displayed unwavering dedication to his country. His time in the Navy shaped his character and instilled in him values of honor, discipline, and service to others. In addition to his military service, Donald dedicated his professional life to the field of mechanics. He was known for his expertise and passion in this field, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with. His commitment to his craft was truly admirable. Outside of work, Donald found solace and happiness in pursuing activities that resonated with his spirit. Donald was a wonderful, brother, uncle, and friend to many that will be dearly missed. Donald is preceded by his parents, Leon and Myrna Hood. Left to cherish his memories are his two brothers, David Hood and William “Billy” (Cindy) Hood; and his two sisters, Pamela H.
