Deborah Severance Obituary

Deborah Jeanne Severance, 69 of York, AL, passed away on August 14, 2022 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS. She was born September 19, 1952 in NJ, the oldest of two children to Eddie and Ruth Mosher. The family moved to South Florida near Daytona Beach, and Deborah grew up there. She has been an plant and animal lover her entire life, with an affinity for her cats. Her passion was painting, perfecting her skills over the years. Natural scenes and birds were among her favorite subjects. Her father was a commercial fisherman, and she enjoyed going with him on the boat as well. After graduating high school, Deborah worked as a seamstress for a while, then moved into real estate for several years. While working, she also continued to paint, selling many of her paintings over the years. In her spare time, she enjoyed needlework and sewing, making quilts, and working in her garden. Deborah was not one to sit idly by, always doing something. She is remembered as a somewhat shy and quite lady, and a very loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. Deborah was preceded by her parents, Eddie, Sr. and Ruth Mosher. Left to cherish her memories are: her loving husband for the past twenty years, Randy; her only son, Michael McCormick of Tallahasse, FL; her daughter-in-law, Luckie Green of Bayou George, FL; and her brother, Eddie Mosher, Jr. of Howard, FL. She leaves a legacy of four grandkids: Yukio, Donvah, Kohaku, and William, all of whom she loved dearly, along with several extended family, friends and neighbors through the years. Her final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. A celebration of her life is being considered for a later date.
